Glad to be able to greet you again, friend. Let’s have a real talk this week, especially if you are tired, unmotivated, weakened, and without any drive for life or any of your goals.

Have Guts And Don’t Waste Time

The unmotivated, the weak, the ones who always have an excuse for why their lives are miserable now have a platform to speak and complain in front of everyone. The internet has opened the world to knowledge and possibilities, but together with this wonder, the sewage pipe is also loose and spitting, and whether you like it or not, it will impact you in one way or another.

The “could have been”, the “should have been”, the “almost was something” types are present on every phone or tablet, and their voices may start playing the main tunes in your mind, paralysing you, robbing you of your drive and motivation, weakening your spirit and eventually pulling you on their side.

Which One Are You?

Are you one of them, friend? Or do you grab your dreams, take control of what you want and go after it? Do you have heart, determination, perseverance, drive and that wild desire for that dream which will undeniably be yours one day? Can you muster enough ambition every day to give your all? Can you mentally say, “Damn the world and every nasty opinion in it because all that matters is what I can do right now”?

Listen up. Drive and motivation are the key to anything in life. Moving iron takes motivation, building skills takes drive, creating a strong business requires determination and grit, and great relationships need boldness and dedication.

In a world in which the weak have the stage, you have to dig deep within your soul to overcome the paralysing effect of victimhood that floods your attention sensors. Dig deep, friend, and allow the dark, twisted and nasty thoughts from the forgotten dungeons of your soul to jump-start your spirit.

Because the alternative is a life without a spine, and such a life is one full of fear of failing to the point that you will become a doormat for anyone who wants to wipe his feet on you.

Are you willing to let others wipe their feet on you, or will you dare to light a fire in you to make you push for something better?

Here’s How You Do It

Refuse to embrace the bitterness of the weak and pick a goal. Whether it’s a few extra kg on a heavy lift, a few extra coins in your bank account, or a few extra meaningful moments in your intimate relationship, define what you want.

If you are just waking up from the victimhood coma that you could not avoid slipping into, make your goals small enough to get going. Be realistic and set yourself up for success by making your initial targets reachable.

Once you do this, ask yourself, friend, “Why did I pick this goal?” and dare to answer this question honestly, because the only way you will succeed is if the reason for picking the goal is the same thing that motivates you to lift mountains and crush barriers.

YOUR DRIVE SHOULD COME FROM THE HEART

If your drive and motivation come from within, and not from the desire to be recognised by the outside world, the fire in your heart can never be suppressed again. Remember this, and once you figure out your goal and your reason for it … GET MOVING.

Not tomorrow, today. Don’t put it off. Get to work now. Allow the fire in your heart boost your belief in yourself and go get what you want and don’t just go get it, attack it with everything that you’ve got and take it, because you know deep down that if you don’t, you will never forget that it was there all along for the taking and you were just too afraid to step up.

Remember, friend, you have to be able to look yourself in the mirror every day of your life. How is it going to feel if you let your goals, your dreams, your aspirations pass you by?

Pay Attention To The People Around You

Dare to dream big. Love your dream, live your dream, be your dream, but keep in mind that once you do this, fingers will be pointed at you, and “advice” on why you should slow down will come from all directions.

Friends, family members and even complete strangers will throw questions and opinions at you. “Why are you doing this?”, “That is unrealistic”, “It will never work”. “Could have beens” and “should have beens” that never took what they wanted from life, will point out how you are wasting your life the instant you will have a setback.

Never be discouraged by such behaviour, friend. Use it as fuel and push your limits so that one day you can proudly say that you had a dream, and instead of letting it go like everyone else, you actually went for it at all costs, and now you are living it.

Be The Beacon Of Hope

Let your life and your actions bring hope and motivation to the ones around you as well. Let everyone see that if you really want anything bad enough, you can reach it. Learning, working overtime, effort, sacrifice all seem hard when you are pushing for something meaningful to you, but when you fulfil your dream, when you claim it as your own and live it wholeheartedly, it’s the best feeling in the world.

Dare to be real and honest with yourself. Do not waste your time. Find that spark inside you and make it the biggest fire around. Let it burn out of control. Take control of your destination and never give it up. All the comfort, acceptance and pleasures in life cannot compare to living your dream, and if fear holds you down, never forget that the only fear you should ever have is the thought that one day you may not have a dream anymore.

Will you dare to go after what you want, or will you sink deeper into the nihilistic victimhood attitude that is being promoted everywhere?

Your choice will impact not only you!

SIMPLE TIP TO TRY TODAY

Pick one small, specific goal today and attack it immediately with action — no excuses, no delay. Fight your “victimhood coma” and your “tomorrow” mindset with the following short steps:

1. Choose a small goal (something you can do in 5 to 30 minutes)

Examples: Do 10 push-ups, write 200 words, walk 2,000 steps, clean one shelf, or do something for your significant other. Make it so small you can’t fail, so that you can create momentum.

2. Make sure it is something that matters to you

Be honest and choose with your heart

3. Do it RIGHT NOW

No preparation, no perfect conditions. Just start. Execute.

That’s it. One goal, one honest “why,” one immediate action.

Do this today, and let your dreams, goals and plans become a reality through such a habit.
